SUSTAINABILITY and LASH LAB

BEING the CHANGE IN BEAUTY

A message from the founders of the LASH LAB.

We at Lash Lab are committed to doing our part to reduce waste within the beauty industry - we want to lead the charge as lash extension providers, salons + spas transition into more sustainable practices. We’re always looking for opportunities to reduce service waste and eco-toxicity.

We’re also committed to playing our role as citizens of the local community here in Baltimore - we also have plans to launch community initiatives in Baltimore related to beauty, health + wellness, so stay tuned! We’d also love any recommendations you might have for local organizations we could partner with.

sincerely, lash lab

  • We safely reuse as many lash tools and implements as possible after thorough decontamination. We’re planning to implement reusable lash wands in the near future.

We’ve eliminated paper + plastic from our business operation wherever feasible - for instance, only providing e-receipts + offering biodegradable cups for our Complimentary beverages.

Anything we can’t safely reuse is recycled as part of our TerraCycle partnership!

  • Kalentin® has made great strides in improving the sustainability of their professional products. They’ve transitioned to recyclable paper packaging when feasible and have eliminated some of the most deleterious chemical preservatives from their formulations (such as Hydroquinone).

  • COMING SOON: We are pleased to partner with TerraCycle to recycle all paper byproducts + empty product packaging from our lash services. Such products would typically not be permitted within traditional municipal recycling programs.

We’re proud to do our part in cutting down on waste in the beauty industry. In addition to reusable implements + professional products with recyclable packaging, we are proud to also offer LabCycle™ recycling to our clients.

The products do NOT have to be from Lash Lab™ - feel free to bring us any beauty packaging you may have at home.

  • We exclusively use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide as part of our anti-bacterial + anti-fungal Sanitation protocol, as opposed to corrosive commercial alternatives.

All cleaning agents we use are fragrance-free and fully disclose ingredients on the packaging. We also utilize natural organic Castille soap within our initial implement debriding step.
