Aftercare Protocol.



Avoid Water for 24-36 hours

The Cyanoacrylate molecules in our adhesive resins are cured by water vapor in the air. The adhesive dries from the outside-in, just like a drop of Elmer's school glue. You may think the glue is fully dry, but internally it may take over 24 hours to cure. Introducing water too early can impede the adhesion of your lashes to the adhesion resin, as water droplets can wedge themselves in between the extension and the natural lash. If you can, skin showering/bathing and opt for a Micellar rinse to the face.


Avoid Unnecessary Agitation of the Lashes

Don't rub, pick at, or pull your extensions! If you have discomfort, please contact us for a professional adjustment and/or removal. Eyelash curlers (heated or non-heated) are also a no-no. Endeavor to sleep on your back, and if you must sleep face-first consider wearing an eye mask or using a silk pillowcase. Note that the use of saunas or pools may also weaken the adhesive.


Return for a Backfill in 2-4 Weeks

Return within the time recommended by your artist for your Backfill service to ensure optimal lash health. You may think your lashes look great, but a professional deep cleaning from a bird's eye view will maintain your ocular health and eliminate the risk of infection or demodex mite infestation. Partially loosened lashes also need to be removed or readjusted, as they can snag easily and lead to the loss of an entire eyelash.



proEXTEND: Avoid Water for 0-2 Hours

We strongly recommend the proEXTEND upgrade, which will significantly cut down on the amount of time needed for the Cyanoacrylate adhesives to fully cure. For the proExtend Gel Treatment, you'll want to avoid water for at least 2-4 hours, and 0-2 hours for the LED Gel Treatment.

No Oil-Containing Makeup, and NO MASCARA.

Our adhesive resin is weakened by oil, so we strongly discourage the use of oil-containing makeup. You may use Kalentin’s range of oil-free cosmetic products near the lashline, but please skip mascara altogether. Mascara (especially waterproof brands) contain waxes that are VERY difficult to remove - we cannot apply extensions over the wax so it forces us to painstakingly manually remove the product. You may be assessed up to a $50 fee for excess cleaning time, which we'd hate to do!


CLEANSE YOUR LASHES DAILY

Make a foamy lather with any gentle oil-free facial cleanser or baby shampoo - we recommend simply using the back of your hand. Apply the lather to your lashes in downward motions from the lashline to the tips of the lashes, focusing on removing any particles or build-up (the entire process shoul take you at least 20 seconds per eye). When completed, rinse the lashes thoroughly. You may air-dry or use a dryer on cool - use a mascara wand to re-fluff your lashes once dry.

Saline Solution is used to prime the natural eyelashes to remove detritus and sebum to ensure optimal adhesion. It is also used to accelerate the natural polymerization process of the Cyanoacrylate based adhesive.

DESCRIPTION:

The Gentle Lash Cleanser is formulated to be safe enough for ocular use, while removing any oils that might impede the attachment of lash extensions. Ultra-nourishing, plant-based ingredients make this an opthamologist-recommended choice.

    Decyl Glucoside: Gentle plant-derived cleanser that won’t dry baby’s skin.

    Glycolipids: Sugar-derived emollient cleansers that help support baby’s developing skin moisture barrier.

    Citric Acid: pH adjuster that ensures perfect pH balance with baby’s skin.

    Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate: Plant-derived moisturizing cleanser.

    Glycerin: Plant-derived moisture attractor.

    Coco-Glucoside: Gentle plant-derived cleanser.

    Squalane: 100% sugarcane-derived, sustainable ingredient that mimics the vernix, baby’s first built-in moisturizer and the best protection Mother Nature can give.

    Magnesium Chloride: Naturally occurring mineral that helps keep skin replenished.
